Betting Tips #1 – Darts and Football

Blog

Welcome to the first instalment of our tipsters section on Mobile Betting Guide. Over the course of the coming weeks and months the MBG team will be looking over a host of sports and markets in an attempt to find you winners. We will be placing the wagers ourselves in an attempt to win a few extra quid after a hectic holiday period.

Each bet will be hand selected along with the odds of the bet – based on which bookmaker currently offers the best odds on that market – whilst also the units in which we recommend to be wagered. As each persons betting amounts will differ, by offering the options in unit form will allow you to place however much you are willing to bet. So to one person a unit may be worth £10, whilst another a unit will be worth £100. Please make sure you only bet what you can afford to lose. It’s also worth noting that our bets are one in which are going to offer a little value to our punters. It’s easy to go and lump on a 1/10 favourite and chalk it down as a win, but you aren’t really going to get  a whole lot of profit from these bets. We look a little deeper and go the extra mile to find odds that are much more appealing to not only our punters, but also us!

So let’s dive straight into the betting.

Our first bet comes in the darts, the BDO World Championship to be exact and the game between reigning champ Martin Adams and Gary Stone. Adams is defiantly going to be favourite heading into this match and we expect a relatively comfortable victory for ‘Wolfy’. Whilst both players came through their opening games without dropping a set, Adams should be too strong for Stone so our bet for this match is a 4-1 in sets victory for the Englishman.

Best odds – 4-1 win for Adams @ 3.50 on Victor Chandler for 2 units

Our second market comes from the League Cup Semi-Final match between Crystal Palace and Cardiff City. Cardiff have a pretty solid record when playing away to Palace and have recently beaten them this season already in the Championship. The games are often pretty cagey affairs with 3 or less goals in there last 6 meetings. It’s for this reason that we really like the look of Cardiff to nick this game, qualify for the final and likely do it relatively comfortably. Cup matches can be a little tricky to call if you factor in extra time and penalties into the equation, but we are going to overlook these and stick our money on Cardiff to win in normal time.

Best odds – Cardiff to win in normal time @ 2.60 on Betfred for 5 units

The final pick for our opening day’s betting comes from the Spanish cup game between Malaga and Real Madrid. Madrid go into the game as hot favourites and rightly so after winning 6 of their last 8 games away to Malaga. In the last two occasions they have managed to find the net 4 times plus scoring 21 goals in there last five games draws our attention straight to the goals market and the winning margin of 4 or more for Real Madrid.

Best Odds – Real Madrid to score 4 or more goals @ 5.5 on bet365 for 2 units

Good luck!
